Key ID

Key ID is a unique identification number for each registered copy of ElecKey. Key ID is 32 bits long, with its value ranging from zero to 2³¹ or 2,147,483,647. ElecKey requires registration before use. This allows Sciensoft to assign a unique Key ID to each copy of ElecKey. Once registered, the Key ID cannot be changed. The assigned Key ID stays with the ElecKey utilities as well as all of the Keys and the protected applications. Since each copy of ElecKey has a unique Key ID, one cannot use his copy of ElecKey to generate licenses for protected applications that are created by another copy of ElecKey. ElecKey can only manage licenses of the protected applications that have the same Key ID.
